Scott
Bennett has recently faced some significant
health challenges including a stroke. He is on on a very long
path to recovery. I'm sure all his class mates wish him a
speedy recovery. To aid in that recovery, a GoFund me page

be a big help. Here is the link to the GoFund me page for

Recipients of 2025 Helen and Wellington Lester Award.
Addison Makowski
(left) and Sarah Gross (right) have been named recipients of
the 2025
Helen and Wellington Lester Award. The Award is given
each year by the Class of 1964
in honor of their teachers, and class advisors, Helen and
Wellington Lester.
A framed Certificate and check for $196.40 is awarded to
each winner.
6/30/25
We have received a "Thank You Card" from the family
of Helen Lester.
The class thanks all of the class of '64 that have
contributed to the Flower Fund over the past 60 years.
The class has given over $4,000 for funeral flowers, special
occasion flowers, charitable donations, and The Helen and
Wellington Lester Awards.

When it rains it pours. The Flower Fund has received
two nice donations from
Dale Whitmore and Cheryl Makowski.
Thank you Dale and Punki!
We also have pledges of $300 due in
the coming months.
Our finances are now as follows after Gerry, Dale and Punki's
generous donations:
Cash on hand and in banks: $ 785.79
SFCU Certificate of Deposit; $
2,705.87
We have two Helen and Wellington Awards to pay
out in 2 weeks totaling nearly $400, but the Flower
Fund is still in good shape.
6/11/25
Gerry
Wormuth has made a significant donation to the Flower Fund.
His generous donation has allowed us to keep the Class'
$2,500 CD in tact without an early withdrawal penalty. We
were at a point that we could not honor this year's
Lester Award winners without cashing in the class of
'64 CD at SFCU. Incidentally, Gerry originally contributed
half of the money to allow us to acquire the CD in the first
place. Bill Alberta contributed the other half of the $2,500
endowment. Since then, Gerry has made several generous donations
to the Flower Fund to keep it afloat. Thank you Gerry!
